Soaking in the Good Stuff

Our marinade recipes for chicken, beef, pork, or fish will have your family and friends asking for more during the summer grilling season and beyond

Jack Daniels BBQ Marinade
1 1/2 cups olive oil
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons dry mustard
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup whiskey
1 tablespoon black pepper
1/2 cup wine vinegar
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons parsley flakes
3 cloves minced garlic

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Pour over beef, pork, or chicken and marinate 2 to 4 hours before cooking.


Fish Marinade
1 cup tamari or soy sauce
1/2 cup lime-lemon juice
1/4 cup Miren sweet wine or sake
2 tablespoons garlic
2 tablespoons fresh ginger
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Fish doesn’t need to be marinated for an extended period of time. After 30 minutes, the fish will already have absorbed all the flavors.


Jerk Chicken Marinade
3 scallions, chopped
4 large garlic cloves, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
4 to 5 fresh Scotch bonnet or habanero chile, stemmed, and seeded
1/4 cup lime juice
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
2 teaspoons ground allspice
2 teaspoons black pepper
3/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
